We recently redesigned the Cafe Bar menu for Quad in Derby. Quad is an amazing building with a cinema, gallery and cafe bar encouraging creativity through workshops, events and film screenings.We came up with the idea of using famous and iconic film characters and placing them within Quad, meeting in the cafe bar, in a workshop and interacting with each other.
The characters throughout the menu are recognisable and become humorous when taken out of their perceived ‘natural habitat’. Using a mix of classic characters and contemporary children’s favourites, the illustrations appeal to a wide range of people and make a good talking point.

Hedwig flies in with an order... Although while working on this project it made us extremely hungry (!), it was great fun and a pleasure to work on.

The Quad work is amazing, well done girls! I wish I lived in Derby and could go to the knitsquad and have a cup of tea whilst there, my idea of heaven!
